Zero Tolerance Policy

1. Introduction

The City Fiestas fully supports the Zero Tolerance Policy. The aim of this policy is to tackle the increasing problem of violence against staff working in the services industry, such as City Fiestas within event planning, and ensures that staff have a right to fulfil their service to others without fear of being attacked or abused.

We understand that guests at nightlife events, on the very rare occasions, do not always act in a reasonable manner and will take this into consideration when trying to deal with a misunderstanding or complaint. We ask our guests to treat all of City Fiestas staff and the staff of all establishments that City Fiestas hosts events in courteously and respectfully.

All incidents will be followed up and you will be sent a formal warning after a second incident or banned from all City Fiestas events after a third incident if your behaviour has been unreasonable.

However, aggressive behaviour, be it violent or verbal abusive, will not be tolerated and may result in you being banned from City Fiestas events.

2. Permanent ban from City Fiestas events

A good guest-staff relationship, based on mutual respect, is the crucial to the events we organise at City Fiestas. Everyone must feel they are in a safe and welcoming environment. The banning of individuals has never been done before due to no such previous instances, though we are confident that should these ever occur, they are very rare events and is a last resort in an impaired guest relationship with City Fiestas. When trust has irretrievably broken down, it is in the guests’ interest, just as much as that of City Fiestas, that they should attend other events.

3. Conclusion

City Fiestas operates a zero-tolerance policy towards physical or verbal abuse to any members of staff or any of our guests who are on our hired premises. Any person who is either physically or verbally abusive or displays any threatening behaviour will be asked to leave the premises immediately.

Should the individual refuse, the respective venue’s security staff are permitted to enforce the removal of that individual from the venue so as to cause no further emotional or physical harm to the rest of the guests or staff.
